Getting Outside for Primary Geography

This is a hands-on day focused upon sharing ideas for how to take your primary Geography out of the classroom to make it rich and relevant.  The purpose of study (National Curriculum, Sept 2013) states that Geography should inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world that remains with them for the rest of their lives; what better way to achieve this than immersing children in real-world Geography outside of the classroom!  Through a series of outdoor workshops we hope to provide teachers with plenty of ideas for engaging fieldwork and increase their confidence in getting out of the classroom.
